As you probably can guess, I think this is terrific, Jack. And also am jealous of your Sitka store — but thankful for my wallet! Sneaking out one more time for late season deer tomorrow to for a day of still hunting — but after that, my mind is going to sheds and then turkey season!
Hey Jack, love this. I honestly think the best writing comes from sharing the ‘boring’ and mundane experiences that we all have. It makes those stories far more interesting and relatable.
Speaking of stand up comedians, have you watched Nate Bargatze? Fall out LOL funny, and all he talks about is everyday stuff. Stupid fights with his wife. Going grocery shopping. Going to community college, AKA the college where they show you around the community, because they assume you won’t be leaving any time soon.
To your point, good writers don’t need extreme events to give them material, they see stories all around them every day, that the rest of us miss.
As a fellow Columbus resident.. Go Bucks!!! My office is also 5 minutes from that new Sitka store - I will have to check it out.
I recommend!

Good luck out there! I'm getting the turkey itch here too with each passing day.

Very good! Hope you had a great time in Aspen on the slopes and Boulder.
