This is one of the best essays I’ve read in awhile. As a 61yo man with two young sons (33, 29), these words embody what I’ve tried to share with them as they go about their life journey. Thank you for sharing these words of wisdom.
I love this mindset, Jack. I think it all boils down to learning how to be content with what you have, and content not chasing everything you don’t have.
It took me deep into my 40s to actually figure out how to practice simplicity. I'd valued it for a long time, but never truly embraced the work that it took to achieve — despite the front I put up.
